Decided to try and squeeze in a mid morning ride, started at 9:30am. Temperature was chilly at 50 degrees, but worse was the wind at the start of Ogden Canyon. Riding north from 12th street on the Bonneville Shoreline Trail is a great ride, especially during the winter (which it is not yet) because it has a slight south facing stance so the snow melts off quick and the trail is generally dry all year long. This particular ride, I didn't continue up the trail but rather rode along the wide double track that is fairly flat for some of it, then cut back up onto the trail. By the time the trail meets back up with the double track I really needed to get back to get some work done, so I road the double track all the way back. 7.27 miles and only 778 feet in elevation gains.
